Ronald Louis Lidberg, 57, of Lone Jack, MO passed away June 29, 2011 at his home.
Ron, as his friends and family knew him, was born February 19, 1954 in Kankakee, IL, the son of Richard and Marilyn (Pement) Lidberg. His family moved to Lee’s Summit, MO in 1971, where he graduated from Lee’s Summit High School. He immediately began a career as an electrician which led to a 34 years career at Bendix/Honeywell FM&T, the last 20 years as a manager of electronic technicians. He married Sheila Marie Brosam on May 18, 1974. Ron loved working with his hands, a “jack of all trades”, whether it was fixing anything mechanical, working on the family garden, leading the volunteer work days at his church, or even building his own home. He was an avid sports enthusiast, including numerous sports in high school, church softball, and volleyball leagues, cycling, jogging, and completing a triathlon. He found enjoyment by riding his scooter, driving his tractor, and assisting his family and friends with projects. Ron had a servant’s heart and found fulfillment in many volunteer roles to help others. These roles included treasurer for his church and other non-profit organizations, leading the church building committee, being an assistant to the pastor, and serving as an Elder. He was a devoted husband, dedicated father and tender-hearted papa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His survivors include his wife, Sheila; three children: daughter, Sarah English and husband Eric of Lee’s Summit, MO, a son Michael Lidberg and wife Valerie of Oak Grove, MO, and son Jeremy Lidberg and wife Carianne of Odessa, MO; seven grandchildren; four brothers: Rick, Don, David and Bryan; one sister Tami Agnew; two half-siblings, Denise Garavalia and Jason Lidberg; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
