
Ronald “Ron” Ray Fehring, 69, passed away on July 21, 2026, in Smithville, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home in Independence, Missouri. 1823 N. Blue Mills Rd, Independence, Missouri, 64058. Inurnment to follow at Salem Cemetery.
Born in Topeka, Kansas, Ron graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1975. He spent most of his life in Independence, Missouri, building a life filled with family, hard work, and good times. Ron retired after dedicated years of service from the Ford Motor Company plant in Claycomo, Missouri. As a sports enthusiast, Ron could often be found cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs, spending a quiet day golfing, tending to his garden, or hitting the lanes as an avid bowler.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Fehring; his mother, Mary Marie Smith; his brother, Randall Fehring; and his sister, Janet Taylor.
He is survived and deeply missed by his daughter, Ranelle Lynch; his sisters, Harriet Taylor and Cathy Sue Buckley; his stepmother, Carolyn Fehring; along with many extended family members and friends.

29 Jul 2026This is such a tragedy this man was everybody’s friend … along with his twin brother who passed away years ago grew up with them back in the 70s at Blue Ridge Bowl on the mall. I am so heartbroken by the grace of God I got to see Ronnie ‘at one of our reunions back in September of last year . . my prayers are with the family and I know Ronnie is up there preparing a place for all the Blue Ridge people ….will all be there and once again be reunited God bless the fehring family and friends sincerely
