Roy William Deshazer, 50, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
Roy was born on October 20, 1960, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Loren E. & Thelma M. (Vaughn) Deshazer. He was a mechanic for Don Ward & Co., retiring in 1990.
His survivors include his wife, Michele M. Deshazer of the home; a son: Christopher B. Deshazer of Denver, CO; a daughter: Heather M. Deshazer of Silt, CO; three step-daughters: Amanda Braun & husband Mike of Claycomo, MO, Maggie Nichols & husband Kevin of Colorado Springs, CO, Abigail Bagley of Blue Springs; his mother: Thelma Israel of Independence, MO; three brothers: Loren E. Deshazer & wife Sheron of Kissimmee, FL, Gary D. Deshazer & wife Shirley of Odessa, MO, Gregory S. Deshazer of Denver, CO; three sisters: Carolyn S. Easter & husband Bill of Buckner, MO, Doris Fellers & husband Don of Las Vegas, NV, Joanne Lauer of Blue Springs, MO; five grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; and many extended family members.
