Ruby Lee Kabrick, 91 of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23rd in Sni Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO.

Ruby was born October 2, 1928 on a farm south of Oak Grove. She was the 6th of 8 children born to Jason & Mary Cline. Ruby graduated from Oak Grove High School. After graduation, she worked at Lake City Ammunition plant for a short time before going to work at Bendix where she worked for 30 years, up to retirement. Ruby married Henry Kabrick. He passed away a few years after their marriage, caused from an injury he received while serving in the U.S. Navy. Ruby attended Beautician School and after graduation, she set up a beauty shop in her house where she would fix hair for friends and family members on weekends. Her roots of growing up on a farm never left her. She liked living on acreage with no houses close. Ruby loved working outside and always planted a large garden every year. It was not uncommon to work in the garden until past dark every day. She always kept her yard and surroundings immaculate. Early in her life she always had chickens and cows. Ruby was a huge country and western fan. She would never miss going to Fan Faire held in Nashville, TN, yearly, as well as any known star coming in the Kansas City area. There is not any of the older country and western stars she hasn’t seen. Ruby was a big Nascar race fan. She would never miss watching or listening to a race. Ruby would be very excited when a Ford won, since she never owned any car or truck that was not a Ford. She was a member of the Lee’s Summit Christian Church.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Henry; three brothers: Venton Cline, Earl Cline, and Lowell Cline; and two sisters: Doris Pike and Pauline Johnson.
She is survived by sister, Opal Green and brother, John Cline.
