Ruth L. Enloe, 93, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Mathis Cemetery, Enon, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10th at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Village House of John Knox Hospice, 600 NW Pryor Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
Ruth was born February 5, 1918, in Russellville, Missouri, the daughter of Emmitt & Grace (Roark) McDowell. She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Temple. Ruth loved her Lord. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, travel, wildlife, & painting.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer F. Enloe, son William Harvey Enloe, grandson James Brian Wilcox, and two sisters.
Her survivors include five children: Darrell & Deb Enloe of Prairie Village, KS, Dwaine & Marsha Enloe of Liberty, MO, Sharon & Gary Wilcox of Blue Springs, MO, Dan & Vicky Enloe of Liberty, MO, Don & Diane Enloe of Liberty, MO; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
