Sandra Rae Chapin, 73, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, MO. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Blue Springs on Saturday, April 20th with visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, KS.
Sandra was born July 9, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Charles B. and Leota N. (Daniel) Shewell. She graduated from Washington High School in 1963. Sandra was in the service industry all of her life, working at Chouteau Inn / DJ’s for 40 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Chuck Sr., and a nephew Chuck Jr.
Her survivors include her son, Phillip Chapin of Blue Springs; two grandsons: Derrek Chapin (Laura) of Zumbrota, MN, and Devin Chapin of Riverside, MO; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Benjamin; three brothers: John Michael Shewell (Carol) of Kansas City, KS, Terry Lee Shewell (Amy) of Puxico, MO, and Larry Dean Shewell (Linda) of Houston, TX; sister, Linda Mae Burch (Alan) of Blue Springs; and many nieces and nephews.
