
Sara Jane Turnure, 74, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16th at East Side Baptist Church, 19901 MO-78, Independence, MO 64057. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Sally was born on October 3, 1942 in Atlantic, Iowa, the daughter of John Edward and Irene (Murray) Anderson. She loved bowling, square-dancing and going to the boat. Sally was a member of the Fort Osage Athletic Booster club for over 25 years, and a proud supporter of the Originals Softball Organization. She was fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals (Esky was her favorite). Sally was the glue of the family and rock to lean on, but most of all, she loved family events and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sally is survived by her husband Earl of the home; three daughters: Shelly Watson, Susan Mathany, and Stacey Moore all of Independence MO; four grandchildren: Jessica Gregersen, Thomas Watson, Cassi Gregersen, and Tyler Mathany; three grand-dogs: Bandit, Jerzey, and Bufford; five great-grandchildren: Jordynn, Brayden, Colton, Cameron and Jaylynn; her brother: Dick Anderson of Red Oak, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: Bob, Bill, Wayne, Mick, Tommy Lee and John Wayne Anderson.

Richie, Lynnette, Johnny and Kenny grew up around Earl and Sally and Richie played baseball and football for Earl when he was young.
