Sondra Jo Dickhout Lenahan, 78, beloved Mom & Grandma, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Oak Grove Historical Society.
Sondra was born September 2, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Howard and Eleanor (McEntee) Dickhout. She worked at Lake City for a number of years before moving to Tonganoxie, KS, and retiring from Ladd’s Heating & Cooling. Sondra (Sandy) loved being a member of the Oak Grove Historical Society and keeping the history of our little town alive & kicking (her words). Sondra’s smile was as beautiful as her personality. She loved her family and friends, going out to eat, and shopping.
Sondra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard “Tiny” Lenahan; sister, Linda; brother, Wesley; and niece Kimberly Borland.
Her survivors include four children: Tracey Burns of Lee’s Summit, Kathy Lueck of Lee’s Summit, Brian Lueck and wife Dorothy of Canyon Lake, TX, and Heath Lenahan and wife Donna of Lee’s Summit; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
