Stephen Curtis Jackson, aged 69, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Born November 26, 1946 in El Centro, California, Stephen was a devoted and loving husband and father.  As a part of the United States Navy on the USS Cimarron, he served his country proudly in the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.  His love of education, automobiles, and music was evident in his everyday life.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Donna Galland Jackson, parents Robert and Maxine Jackson, stepson Scott Stevens. and niece Nicole Jackson.  He is survived by his children Stephen (Sarah) Jackson and Stephanie (Jimmy) Bienvenu; siblings Cathy (Jay) Uhlig, Christopher (Donna) Jackson, Jeffrey Jackson, and  Kelley (John) Newberg; eight  grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends.
