Stephen Phillips, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Stephen was born May 11, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri. He loved dogs, mushroom hunting, deer hunting, and woodworking. Stephen was a tinkerer, and enjoyed fixing things, especially car engines.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Anne (Boone) Ethridge; his father, Howard Eugene Phillips; brother, Timothy Shawn Phillips; and grandmother, Tommy Elizabeth.
His survivors include his fiancé Kimberly Thompson of Oak Grove; sisters, Kristy Michelle Edwards and her husband, Moses, of Texas, and Sherry Pilsl and her husband, Joe, of Independence, MO; niece & nephew, Michelle & Scott Morales; stepbrother, Skip Ethridge of Oak Grove; two stepsisters: Kelly Nichols of Oak Grove, and Cindi Caldwell of Blue Eye, MO; aunt, Patricia Sue Morris & husband, Bill, of Bates City, MO; and many cousins and friends.
