Stephen Rudolph Luper, 56, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 4th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Stephen was born October 7, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Max and Margie (Clark) Luper. He was veteran of the US Navy and worked as concrete mason. Stephen was very generous and helpful and was always giving to the needy. If anyone needed help he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Stephen is survived by his father, Max of Independence; three children: Stevie Luper of Kansas City, MO, Colleen Luper of Kansas City, MO, and Jackie Beal of Springfield, MO; two sisters: Helen Easley of Oak Grove, MO, and Pam Middleton of Independence; one brother, Larry Luper of Independence; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Judy Edwards; and three brothers: Michael, Gary, and Harvey Luper.
