Steven Douglas Hazen, 72, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19th 2022 at the Hansuld home in Grain Valley, Missouri.
Steve was born November 18, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri. The son of Chester H. and Elizabeth S. (Lloyd). He grew up in Independence Mo and graduated from William Chrisman High School. Steve served 4 yrs. in the US Coast Guard. He worked at the GM Fairfax Plant and was a standing member of UAW Local 31 and retired after 33 yrs. of employment. Steve moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where he spent quality time with close family and friends.
He is preceded in death by His farther Chester H. Hazen; Mother Elizabeth S. Hazen; his brother Michael R. Hazen; and his beloved wife Sharon Garcia-Hazen
Steve is survived his brother Chester D. Hazen (wife Nancy); 4 bonus daughters. Lisa M. Hansuld, Angela Stokes, Julie Veazey and Monica Garcia; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
