Steven Michael White, 47, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit, MO. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 17th at First Baptist Church, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Contributions may be made to the family or to the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
Steve was born June 16, 1974, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Jerry and Diane (Armstrong) White. He married Misty Matthews on September 12, 1998. Steve had a passion for cars and enjoyed working on them. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Steve was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Maxine Armstrong; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Alberta White; and his father-in-law, Denny Matthews.
His survivors include his wife, Misty White of the home; daughter, Alyssa White (Jake Payne) of Oak Grove, MO; son, Dalton White of Independence; granddaughter, Harper White of Independence; his parents, Jerry and Diane White of Blue Eye, MO; mother-in-law, Peggy Matthews of Oak Grove; brother, Ron White (Jody) of Plattsburg, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
