Susan Elaine Atkinson, 63, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at North Care Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO. Private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northcare Hospice.
Susan was born February 20, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of George and Helen (Kovac) Mangels. She was General Manager at Dave Littleton Ford in Smithville, MO, for 42 years, retiring in 2011. Susan was a very caring and giving person, who loved her motorhome and boating at Lake of the Ozarks.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sharon & Judy; and one brother, Donnie.
Her survivors include her husband, Kenneth “Chet” Atkinson of the home; one son, Tracy Mangels and wife Tonya of Kansas City, MO; two daughters: Denise Atkinson of Pleasant Hill, MO, and Kenna DeBlase of Overland Park, KS; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Pat Scott of TN; and numerous nieces & nephews.
