Susan “Miss Sue” Kay Hawks, 62, of Independence, MO, passed away July 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23rd at Fort Osage Church of the Nazarene, 19333 E. 24 Hwy, Independence, MO 64056.
Susan was born January 1, 1957 in Kansas City, MO, to John and Bonnie (Chaney) Boden. She enjoyed cooking, watching her nighttime TV shows, playing games on her phone, and gardening in her flower garden. She loved her job at McDonalds and spending time with her grandchildren.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include two daughters: Heather Pax and Amanda Hawks; four grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Boden; one brother, Scott Boden; four nephews; and two nieces.
