Susan “Sue” Mary Miller, 73, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away quietly at home after suffering almost a year with Guillian-Barre’ Syndrome on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Sue was born in Kansas City, MO on August 10, 1945 to a mother she never knew. She was adopted at birth by William and Katherine Hurst of Independence, MO. She attended Raytown High School and graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1966 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Sue was a teacher with the Kansas City School District. She enjoyed family and friends, spending time on social media, and camping at Truman Lake in her motorhome.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Miller; two sons, Richard Miller and Timothy Miller; daughter, Katherine Hankel; and two grandsons, Elijah and Luke.
