Terry Lynn Llewellyn, 70, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away, October 4, 2010. Services will be held 2:00 p.m.; Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, 400 Southeast 14th Street, Oak Grove, Missouri 64075.Burial in the Mecklin Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. preceding the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Odyssey Hospice, 800 East 101st Terrace, Suite 150, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Terry was born July 6, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Richard T. and Alice L. (Chambers) Llewellyn. ON October 14, 1961 Terry married the love of his life, Dixie D. (Rhoads) Llewellyn. He owned and operated several service stations and LL Mowing Service, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, loved hunting, fishing, and was a crew chief for his grandson’s go-kart racing team.
Hew as preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Alice Llewellyn; and one granddaughter: Morgan Llewellyn.
His survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years: Dixie D. Llewellyn of the home; three daughters: Dayna Wrisinger and husband Craig of Oak Grove, MO, Julie Kephart and husband Don of Holden, MO and Lori Byl and husband David of Oak Grove, MO; one son: Michael Llewellyn of Oak Grove, MO; a mother-in-law: Zelma Rhoads of Raytown, MO; ten grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
