Thomas Edward Runyon, 18, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO.
Tom was born March 27, 2001, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Thomas P. and Melissa L. (Lewis) Runyon. He was a 2019 graduate of Oak Grove High School, where he played football since Kindergarten. Tom enjoyed skateboarding, playing guitar, and listening to music. He loved his dog, Junior, and spending time with his family and friends. He worked at Blue Beacon where he loved to work and “make bank” as Tom would say.
His survivors include his parents, Thomas and Melissa Runyon of the home; two sisters: Heather Runyon and Samantha Runyon; nephew, Carter Hipsher; three nieces: Ellie Hipsher, Rylee Marshall, and Amelia Marshall; grandparents, Paulette and Lloyd Lewis; grandma, Helen Carter; best friend, Weston Durham; and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
