Thomas Hal Achauer, 74, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Oakland Cemetery, Buckner, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to City Union Mission.

Mr. Achauer was born February 17, 1934 in North Canton, OH, the son of Lester & Ethel (Voltz) Achauer. He graduated from Hoover High School in North Canton and attended Miami University in Ohio. He came to Missouri in 1969 and established himself in the entertainment and machine operator business. He married Wilma Arvin Reser and they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on September 30, 2007.

His survivors include his wife: Wilma Achauer of the home; one daughter: Sherri White & husband James Gerald of Clayton, NC ; three step-children: Karen Reser of Fairfax, VA, Max Reser & wife Penny of Buckner, MO, & Cliff Reser & wife Paula of Overland Park, KS; one sister: Barbara Botschner & husband Dr. Andrew Botschner of North CAnton, OH; 6 grandchildren: Gabriel Reser & wife Sandra, Joshua Reser & wife Christina, Sarah Melling, Sean Reser, Melissa Reser, and Colton Reser; 2 great-grandchildren: Austin & Jesse Reser; and a niece, 2 nephews, and numerous friends.
