Vita Louise (Haas) Ray, 35, passed away October 17, 2012 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to her children’s education fund.
Vita was born July 26, 1977 in Kansas City, MO to Teddy & Marie (Perez) Haas. She grew up in rural Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School in 1995. She continued her education at Wentworth Jr. College and American Intercontinental University. She worked in a nursing home as a C.N.A. for most of her career. Recently she was a homemaker who raised her and Brandon’s children.
She was preceded in death by grandparents: Hazel Meyers, Theodore Haas, Esther & Theodore Perez, four aunts, four uncles, three cousins and father-in-law: James H. Ray.
Cita is survived by her husband and long time best friend Brandon of the home, sons: Nicholas (16), Dakota (9), daughter: MaLora (7) all of the home; parents: Teddy & Marie Haas of Lexington, MO; brothers: Bobby Flynn of Kansas City KS, Terry (Denese) dice of Mclouth KS, Ted Dice of Bonner Springs KS, David (Missy) Dice of Olathe KS, Ron (Karla) Bloss of Grain Valley, MO, Timothy (Kayla) Haas of Fort Riley KS; sisters: Lisa (Tomas) Pena of Tulia TX, Theresa Haas-Denham of Kansas City MO, Amanda (Vernon) Hammond of Independence MO, Heather Haas and Juanita (Romie III) Haley of Concordia MO, and several aunts, uncles and nephews.
Vita was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed volunteering at the Kansas City Soup Kitchen during the holidays. She loved to travel, read and sing karaoke. She was a kind free spirit full of laughter and life.
