W.E. “Dub” Parker, 84, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center-Blue Springs, MO. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Odessa Assembly of God Church, Odessa, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to help defray the cost of final expenses.
Dub was born June 3, 1926 in Antlers, Oklahoma to William Ratcliff and Lou Athoe (Oldham) Parker. He was a retired over the road truck driver and loved tinkering around and restoring old trucks and working on small engine repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Lou Parker; his wife: Helen Parker; sisters and brothers; and 1 great granddaughter.
His survivors include four daughters: Bonnie Call and husband Richard of Warsaw, MO, Linda Hambelton and husband Jim of Gainsville, MO, Cathy Polfer and boyfriend Dwain Witford of Warsaw, MO, and Rosalie Gerhardt and Fiancé Jim Eberhardt of Odessa, MO; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
