Walter Louis Conard Jr., 56, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Walter was born December 28, 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Walter and Helen (Bartolac) Conard Sr. He was a plumber for over 30 years and reluctantly retired due to health. He was a proud member of the Plumbers Union Local 8 and the Moose Lodge. He loved going to QuikTrip; spending time with friends and family; and having a good time. He especially enjoyed finding unique places to eat and tormenting family and friends for his entertainment. He was the master at convincing you to show him your wounds and then flicking them. Walter was an amazing man who could capture anyone’s attention with his infectious laugh and witty personality. He was tough but not afraid to shed a tear in sadness or joy. He was the big fish in a small pond ready to take on any spontaneous adventure that would come his way.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bobbie Knipp; and one beloved dog, Sarah.
His survivors include one daughter, Janea Robinson (Ian) of Lee’s Summit; two sons: Eric Conard (Nichole) of Grain Valley and Chance Conard of Blue Springs; two step-daughters: Meagan Sullins of Leeton and Heather Rhea of Warrensburg; his significant other, Becky Anderson of Blue Springs; three sisters: Karen Conard of Claycomo, Jackie Carter of Adrian, and Melanie Starcher of Tonganoxie; one brother, Mike Conard of Kansas City; nine grandchildren: Addisyn, Peytyn, Maddock, Ainsley, Colin, Mason, Mila, Jayden and Jazlynn; and two dogs, Maddison and Buddy.
