Warren Dale Sarratt, 94, of Bates City, Missouri, passed from this life on Friday, February 15, 2019 in his home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21st at the Church of Christ (Temple Lot), 200 S. River Blvd, Independence, MO 64050. Interment will be in Bates City Cemetery, Bates City, MO.
Warren was born on February 19, 1924, to Leonard M. and Jessie E. Sarratt. He retired in 1987 from the Missouri State Highway Department. Warren was a member of the Church of Christ, and his passions were God, family, friends, and gardening. His family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Kansas City Hospice.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters; two brothers; his wife Fern; his son Leonard; his daughter Marjorie Seppings; and his granddaughter Andrea Orsted.
His is survived by one brother, Roland Sarratt of Independence, MO; his son, Lawrence Sarratt of oak Grove, MO; daughter Beth Orsted of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and was lovingly called Grandpa by many more.
