Wilbert Arthur Evans Jr., 84, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Wilbert was born on May 24, 1932, son of Wilbert Sr. and Margaret (Beaton) Evans. He was the manager of TWA Air Cargo, retiring in 1991. He was an avid golfer and played courses all over the world, he loved to travel and play cards, coached little league baseball and was a gymnastic champion from Westport High School in 1949.
Wilbert is preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include is wife, Pauline Evans of the home; 3 sons, William (Susie) Evans of Grain Valley, MO, Larry (and late wife Ruth) Evans of Grain Valley, MO, and Wilbert (Donna) Evans III of Blue Springs, MO; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
