William “Bill” Alvin Reser was born September 28, 1932 in Marshall, Missouri the son of Beasley and Goldie (Sowers) Reser. Bill was a builder/developer and owned his own construction company. He was instrumental in building many developments in Buckner, Blue Springs, Independence and Grain Valley. He liked playing poker and going to the casino. He was known for his great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He listened to “old” country music and only had Willie’s Roadhouse on the radio. He was rough around the edges but had a big heart. Most of all he loved his family.
Bill is survived by his wife Stella, one daughter: Karen Reser, two sons: Max (Penny) Reser and Cliff Reser. One sister: Brenda Maxwell, three step daughters: Karen Fox, Vicki Pierce, and Tuesdae Velear, and one step son: David (Debbie) Lattner. Also surviving are 17 grandkids and 11 great grandkids. He was affectionately known as “Papa Bill”
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Cone, and grandson Sean Reser.
