Homer Cline, 89, of Oak Grove, MO passed away on June 23, 2014 in his home.
Homer was born February 26, 1925 in Centerview, MO to Anna Lee and S.L. Cline.
He was married to Marguerite Georgia Cline from 1946-2004.
Homer served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was also employed by Missouri Public Service for 40 years. Homer was active as a Mason and in Scottish Rites.
Homer was preceded in death by his wife Georgia. He is survived by his only daughter, Ann Marie Cline Wilson and son-in-law Kenneth. He also leaves behind his grandson Shannon (Carla) Purkey of Oak Grove, MO; his granddaughter Jennifer (Chris) Mills of Overland Park, KS and his step-granddaughter Julie (Scott) Durst of Grain Valley, MO. Homer also had six great-grandchildren, Savannah, Cooper, Lexi, Olivia, Sophie and Kenny. Homer is survived by his true companion and loving dog, Jack.
Homer was an awesome poker player and played with some of the best, such as Amarillo Slim. He has now taken his final reading at the table. He will be greatly missed at the tables.
The family will hold a private memorial service at the Higginsville Veterans Cemetery.
