William Lee Wilke, 80, passed away January 16, 2015. Private services.
Bill was born December 6, 1934, in Kearney, NE, to Earney Deloss and Dorothy (Vannoy) Wilke. Bill moved to Grain Valley, MO in 1951, where he met and married his wife, Judith Elaine Miller, on December 22, 1956. He worked 30 years at Army Map Service in Kansas City, MO, retiring in 1987. He also served in the Army National Guard for 8 years. Bill & Judith subdivided land and built houses. They had a farm in Holden, MO, where they raised cattle for several years. Bill enjoyed gardening, raising roses and all kinds of flowers, and then sharing them with others. Bill loved Jesus and his dream was to be taken in the rapture, but God had other plans for him. He is now rejoicing with Jesus for all eternity.
He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Judith; 2 sons: William Brian Wilke (Shelly) & Jeffrey Lee Wilke (Sheila); 5 grandchildren who knew him as “Papa”: Sara Ann Wilke, Brian Tyler Wilke (Sarah), Janean Galate (Vincent), Kelsey Mitchell (Brian), and Lanae Wilke; and sister, Loretta Jean Randolph.
Your family will always have love in our hearts for you, Bill, and will miss you until we see you later!
