William Robert Gabriel, 93, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. A visitation will be held at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, from 12:30 to 2:00 on Sunday, November 1, 2015 with a funeral service following at 2:00 pm.
Bill was born on June 6, 1922 in Warrensburg, Missouri, the son of John and Lida Gabriel. Bill was a member of Grain Valley United Methodist Church, Jackson County Sheriff Posse and American Quarter Horse Association. He enjoyed horses and trail riding.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Gabriel of the home; daughter, Marilyn Whitacre (Doug) of Smithville, MO; 2 sons, John Gabriel of Grain Valley, MO, and Lance Gabriel (Valerie) of Grain Valley, MO; 1 sister, Nella Mae Jenson of Buena Park, CA; 6 grandchildren, Courtney Whitacre, Hillary Whitacre, Megan Gabriel, Lauren Casa, Chase Gabriel and Chelsea Gabriel; and 2 great-grandchildren.
