Alan D. Myers

Alan Dean Myers, 66, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on July 3rd, 2026.

He was born on January 13th, 1960 in Independence, Missouri to Orpha Young (Hennrich) and James Myers. He was raised by Larry Hennrich who was his stepfather.

He was a beloved husband, Father, grandfather, and friend. Alan spent his life working with construction, a profession that perfectly reflected who he was – a hardworking, talented man who wasn’t afraid of a challenge. He was a jack of all trades and truly master of all.

Beyond his work, Alan’s greatest joy was spending time with people he loved. Whether he was gathering with family, sharing laughs with friends, or spending time outdoors. Alan loved boating at the lake, sitting around a bonfire sharing stories, hunting mushrooms or deer, and working on cars. He was a man who loved an engine and a man who could fix it all. He had a sharp sense of humor, a quick wit, and a way of making ordinary days memorable. Among Alan’s greatest accomplishments was the love he poured into his grandchildren. Every golf cart ride, artistic teaching moment, making them laugh, or self-created project just to make unforgettable childhood memories for them. Alan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever. Until we see you again, “Get er’ Lar!!”

He was preceded in death by Mother, Orpha Young (Hennrich), Father, Larry Hennrich, Brother, Gregory Lynn Myers, Grandmother, Edyth Mae Blanton (DeArmon), and Grandfather, James Earl Young.
