Anthony “Tony” Darrell Perkins, 43, of Kansas City, MO, Beloved Son, Brother and Father born July 7th 1979 passed early morning of August 7th 2022.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday August 15, 2002 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m.

Born one of eleven children, Tony was the most loyal with a heart of gold. His smile that triggered your attention, to his laugh and jokes. His loving soul that lived through his music, and letters he wrote with all the love he could give. He went on to proudly achieve his GED in schooling as well as many other accomplishments along the way, in his way. Tony was the biggest giver, lover and protector of his family, dogs, ice cream, slushies and cookies. He had pride, stood tall when he had the strength and LOVED US ALL. This man will be greatly missed by so many. 

Tony is survived by his mother, Debra Jean Dodd and step-father James Raleigh Gibson; siblings; Joseph Perkins, Jennifer Perry, Rene Dodd, Louis Dodd, Jr., Megan Pollard, Melissa Dodd, James Gibson, Jr., Joshua Gibson, Jacob Gibson and Jody Gibson; Fiancé; Chrisana Strassle; Daughters Autumn Bullock, Desiree and step-daughter Aaliyah Rigdon. Many Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.

Tony was preceded in death by his son Anthony Joseph Strassle-Perkins, his parents Robert Darrell Perkins, Louis David Dodd, Grandmother Dottie Eidson and Barbara O’Dell.
