Aubrey G. Williams


Aubrey Gail Williams, 21, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016. A visitation will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm also at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to Talena for Emma Ann Williams (infant daughter of Aubrey). 

Aubrey was born on April 7, 1995 in Blue Springs, Missouri, daughter of Talena Nuckles and Christopher Thompson. Aubrey was free spirited, feisty, marched to the beat of her own drum and ornery. Hence her mother’s nickname for her “Ornery Aubrey”. She always made people smile and had a sweet tender heart. She absolutely loved anything purple, owls and spending time with family and friends. She sacrificed her own life to give her only child a chance at life. Aubrey is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Benjamin and Oleta Keck, Ira II and Lucille Allen, Robert Williams, and Evelyn Tittle. 

Aubrey’s survivors include her daughter, Emma Ann Williams of Bates City, MO; mother, Talena (Michael) Nuckles of Bates City, MO; 6 brothers, Christian Williams of Bates City, MO, Robert Evanoff of Bates City, MO, Andy Williams of Oak Grove, MO, Zachary Parker of Clinton, MO, Nicholas Thompson of Sheldon, MO, and Michael Nuckles Jr. of Rockhill, SC; 2 sisters, Dana Thompson of Sheldon, MO, and Desirae Thompson of Odessa, MO; father Christopher (Jessica) Thompson of Sheldon, MO; maternal grandparents, Linda and Ira III Allen of Grain Valley, MO, and Robert and Kelly Williams of Oak Grove, MO; paternal grandparents, George and Cathy Thompson of Independence, MO; 3 Aunts, Andrea (Dennis) Lawrence of Imperial, MO, Missy Thompson of Independence, MO, and Sarah Welichko of Kansas City, MO; and 5 cousins, Gavin Lawrence of Imperial, MO, Destiny Shelton of Independence, MO, George Shelton of Independence, MO, Molly Garcia of Kansas City, MO, and Vada Garcia of Kansas City, MO; and many other relatives and friends.

  2. Aubrey was such a beautiful girl. I know what a difficult time you are having right now. It is a hard hard thing to lose a child. Try to take comfort in knowing she wanted life for her child. She has left us a large part of herself. Take comfort in baby Emma. I am so anxious to see her and know her. I will remember how Aubrey was smiling the last time I saw her in the van.
