Buddy G. Anderson


Buddy Gene Anderson, 58, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away peacefully of cancer on Friday, January 29, 2021.  There are no services.

Born May 18, 1962, in Tucson, Arizona, Buddy was the son of Bryan “Gene” and Carol (Howell) Anderson.  He attended high school in Independence, MO.  On June 9, 2001, he married Billie Standeford.  Bud worked as an over the road truck driver for 20+ years and was a heavy equipment mechanic.  He enjoyed his time at the lake and tinkering with his dad’s old Chevy truck.

Bud was preceded in death by his dad, Bryan Anderson; grandparents, Al & Chloy Howell; grandparents, Albert & Dorothy Anderson; and his aunt Pam.

His survivors include his wife, Billie, and his mother, Carol, both of the home; daughter, Joie Ronspiez of Grain Valley, MO; several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins, all of Independence.

  1. Aunt Carol and Billie, I am sending you my heart and love. I am so sorry. Words cannot express what you are feeling and going through. Please know, I love you both and am thinking about you♥ I have great memories at the lake and at the pool when Aunt Carol lived off Lee’s Summit Road.

  2. Buddy Anderson a unique individual who took the path untravelled. Lived life to its fullest. What he may have lacked in one area He excelled in other areas. I remember a beautiful Christmas mural on the chalk board. Thoughts and prayers for his family.
