Richard “Chad” Martin, 54, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on October 27, 2025. Visitation will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Service to follow at 2:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the charity of your choice.
He was born on September 2, 1971, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Gary and Bessie (Smith) Martin. Chad enjoyed bass fishing and had a deep love for animals. From an early age, he loved farming alongside his dad and later spent much of his time in the shop listening to old country music. He especially took pride in helping his nephew, Jarrett, rebuilding his 2005 Sierra.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Martin; maternal grandparents, Tom, and Louise Smith; and paternal grandparents, Squire and Iva Martin.
Chad is survived by his mother, Bessie Martin; sister, Deana Martin; nephew, Jarrett Griffin; aunt, Pat Beck; cousins, Todd (Kim) Beck, Renae (Tom) Freeman, Tami Smith and Tony Yates.

Chad will be deeply missed by so many and he will continue to be loved by us all.
He was so kind and so nice to see.. Each time I was with him he gave me a hug and we told each other how much love we had each other.. I. A still remember when he was born.. I’ll remember him always and miss him.
