After her divorce, she became an over the road truck driver for seven years where she was able to travel through every state of the continental United States and some areas of Canada. Norma began working for the USPS where she met and married James on February 14, 1998. Norma enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she had wanted to visit every state in the US and had recently traveled to Alaska. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Reeder (Mark), son Bobby Joe Benedict, stepson Bill Raymond (Stacey), nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; brothers Howard Willard, Gene Hayes, and Bill Hayes; sister Lee Holbrook and nieces and nephews.
