David Price Hill, 70, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 09, 2016. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18th at Oak Grove Cemetery.
David was born April 17, 1946, in Bolivar, Missouri, the son of Sterling Price and Elsie Mae (Stewart) Hill. He married Shirley Kay Kirk in April 1969. David was a retired truck driver from NAPA Auto Parts. David liked hot rods, nostalgic antiques, Elvis, and oldies music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. David was a member of Old Union Missionary Baptist Church in Stockton, MO.
His survivors include his wife of 47 years, Shirley Hill of the home; two daughters: Stephanie (Joshua) Stark of Grain Valley, MO, and Sondra (Chris) Herdman of Belton, MO; son, David Hill Jr. of Independence, MO; six grandchildren: Samantha Hill, Tyler Herdman, Dylan (Amanda) Stark, Ashlee Herdman, Zackary Herdman, & Sabrina Hill; and two great-grandchildren: Charlotte Stark and Kaylee Parks.
