Douglas N. Kassing


Douglas “Doug” Norman Kassing, 58, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. Per Doug’s request, there will be no services. Contributions may be made to: endsepsis.org or Wounded Warrior Project at: woundedwarriorproject.org or Department of Conservation at: mdc.mo.gov

Doug was born October 3, 1965 in Belleville, Illinois, the son of Everett W. and Patricia (Wesselmann) Kassing. Doug was an outdoorsman who loved nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lifelong learner who spent time reading. Doug was charismatic and witty. He was a devoted family man and spent much time with them and friends. Doug was very loved and will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Doug leaves behind his wife, Dina Kassing of the home; daughter, Samantha P. (Dillon) Robbins; son, Cole D. Kassing; and grand-daughter, Hadley Robbins.

  2. This one hurts. Many prayers to Dina and the family for strength and peace through this time. I was looking forward to another hunt of some kind, and some where.

  3. My deepest condolences Dina, Samantha, Cole and family. Doug has always been a great friend and his wit, charm and fortitude will be missed but the memories will always make me smile. Hope you can find some comfort in knowing Doug was a good man who was very respected.

  4. I worked with Doug at 1520 Market. I also live in Freeburg, so I used to see him all the time. He always made me laugh and he was great to work with.
    Father God, be with Doug’s family. Wrap Your arms around them and give them Your perfect peace.
