11 Nov 2020My Brother, William Edward Whitley, won his battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when he walked into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Father, as we are grieving with the lifting of Bill’s life up to you, let us feel Your two hands reach down to hug us in our sorrow and when You shine down, let us realize there’s love, hope and faith.
Tears are the words our hearts can’t say, breaking inside, sometimes it feels better not to talk. At all. About anything. To anyone.
My brother, my past. Bill’s big blue eyes. His loud laugh. He was the co-keeper of my childhood. The person who was supposed to walk with me longer than anyone else in this life. The biggest, bestest Bro’ in the world. I love you, my Big Brother (Bro’) in life and more importantly, in Heaven with Jesus, our Father. I will see you again!
I pray that while he is walking today with you, Jesus, he’s holding Your hand, our hearts will sing from the love and joy that Your presence brings, we must walk with faith and not by sight…
What Bill once knew by faith, he now knows by sight!!!
I arise today
Through the mighty strength…
…of the Lord of creation.
If a man runs with man, it is called a “Race” but if a man runs towards God is called as “Grace”.
I love you forever, my precious Brother… …Paul Whitley
…It Is Well with My Soul.

11 Nov 2020I just found out today that Doctor Whitley had gone home to see Jesus. It broke my heart to know that I won’t see him in his office again. Doctor Whitley was my doctor for 28 years. He saw me through so much in those years. We talked about his family, his philosophy on life, you name it. He always came into that exam room with a smile on his face and that big voice. He took care of 3 generations of my family. In a world of corporate owned physicians, Doctor Whitley was one of the last old fashioned family physicians. He will be missed for many years. My condolences to the family. I know your hearts are hurting. My prayers go out for you. – Gaela A. Fisher
