Long time local resident, Mrs. Elaine Smith, passed into the next life recently, after a months-long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by a loving husband of more than 40 years and two siblings. She left behind one sibling, and a fine family legacy of four children, their spouses, five grandchildren, their spouses, and three great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of and pillar in the Odessa congregation of the C of C church. She will be sorely missed. We love you, mom.
