Floyd Eudean Johnston, 91, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27^th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

Floyd was born August 16, 1931, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Lorne Alfred and Evelyn Frances (Smith) Johnston.  He was an Army Veteran.  Floyd drove a truck for Dierks Lumber Company and then started building houses.  He loved going to the lake, fishing, hunting, and watching westerns. 

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Johnston. 

His survivors include his wife of 59 years, Margaret Johnston of the home; four sons: David Johnston of Grain Valley, MO, Floyd Johnston Jr. (Merrie) of Lone Jack, MO, Joe Johnston of Blue Springs, MO, and Mark Johnston of Holden, MO; sister, Charlene Kenyon of Bates City, MO; brother, Robert Johnston (Roenna) of Bates City, MO; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
