
James Dale Stilwell of Independence, Missouri passed away on November 6, 2025 at home. There will be no services held at this time.
He was born on January 29, 1962 in Marshall, Missouri to Robert and Alberta (Wallace) Stilwell.
He attended East High School in Kansas City, Missouri. On November 5, 1988 he married Monica. Jim also worked as a security guard for Barton Protective and Cerner Corporation. In his free -time he enjoyed shooting pool, riding motorcycles and was always up for a round of golf. He will always be known for his sense of humor and bad Dad jokes, and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; David and Richard Mathews.
Jim is survived by his wife, Monica; daughter, Madelyn; mother-in-law, Doris Humphrey; brother-in-law’s Sidney Yach, Nick (Jennifer) Yach, and John Brodzinski; nephews Aaron, Jory, Brenden, Danner and a niece Marnie.
