James L. Supernaw


James Linley Supernaw, 83, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021.  The family is planning a memorial service.

Jim was born February 14, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of William and Ruth (Neal) Supernaw.  He married Karen Hendee in 1963 and raised four sons while living in Kansas City, KS and Harrisonville, MO.  Jim worked for Hallmark Cards for 38 years. He coached baseball teams, fixed the boys’ cars, and absolutely loved watching boxing.  His favorite holiday was Christmas.  He was also an Air Force veteran.  Jim was a loved father and grandfather. 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ellen Coffman.  His survivors include his four sons: Peyton (Dolores) Supernaw of Bates City, MO, Brian (Theresa) Supernaw of Valley Center, KS, Heath Supernaw of Harrisonville, MO, and Derrick (Tara) Supernaw of Livingston, TX; eleven grandchildren: Adam (Tricia), Kyle, Crisa, Tyler (Courtney), Lindsey (Landon), Alex, Brandon, Neal (Kelli), Nicole (Nick), Drew, and Gavin (Cheyenne); and five great-grandchildren: Adrianne, Jase, Ariahna, Zaylee and Myla.
