Janice E. Lambert

On November 27, 2023, Janice E. Lambert passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family at her side. Jan was born on September 6, 1941 to George and Florence Herold in Cleveland, OH. She was one of four children and is survived by her brother Denny (Leigh Ann) Herold.

Jan received her bachelor’s degree from Thomas More College and her master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. She taught social studies in the Boone County, Kentucky School District for many years before retiring in 2013.

Jan was a loving mother to her four children Mike (Julie) Lambert, Vince (Elizabeth) Lambert, Monica (Ken) Daughters, and Chris (Joe) Lewis. She was also a proud Grammy of twelve grandchildren – Sam, Jack and Katelyn Lambert, Ben Daughters, Max, Grace, Joey, Nick, and Cole Gibler, and Josh, Jason, and Joey Lewis – who were all the absolute center of her life. They each thought they were her favorite “Sugar Bear”. She had many favorite TV shows in common with her grandkids and loved talking to them about the latest episodes. They will also miss her cheering for them on the sidelines of their games, even if she occasionally cheered for the wrong team.

In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, reading, traveling, playing cards (yes Mom, it IS one run and one set), golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Jan will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including her special friends Manda, Marlene, her quilting groups and her Lunch Bunch. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Obituary submitted by the family.
