Linda was born on April 12, 1949, in Carrolton Missouri, the daughter of Melva “Jean” Schlapia and Raymond Oliver Burkhart. She graduated Highschool in Jacksonville Florida. Married Robert “Bob” Lee Hardwick April 12, 1969. Linda gave birth to two boys and one daughter and gave her life to them, her husband and anyone who needed help or love. Many will say she was the best human they ever knew. She was the kind of person who would walk through the gates of hell and back to defend or assist any family member or friend. Linda was happy to sacrifice her dreams to help everyone else achieve theirs. She never did anyone wrong for any reason. Growing up most of her children’s friends called her mom, because they knew that if she had a roof over her head, so did they. Linda was a very spiritual person. She gave one hundred percent of herself to the Lord. Now she is walking with him. She was the salt of the earth. We all love and miss you, dear Linda.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Raymond O. Burkhart, Melva J. Schlapia, husband Robert Hardwick, brothers and sisters Carol Tokarske, Larry Burkhart, Helen Clay, David Burkhart, Steven Burkhart, niece and nephew Sherry Irwin, Rodger Burkhart.
Linda’s survivors include brother Ronnie (Linda) Burkhart, sister Lora (Steve) Bowman, sons Rob (Ruthanna) Hardwick, Brian (Deanna) Hardwick, daughter Stephanie (Jonathan) Hardwick.
