Matthew “Matt” Wayne Dillon, 59, of Independence, MO passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1st at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence.
Matt was born November 8, 1959 in Kansas City, MO, to Donnie L. & Eula L. (Neighbors) Dillon. He enjoyed riding and customizing motorcycles. He was a skilled craftsman and built amazing furniture from wood.
Matt is preceded in death by his father and daughter, Shara Dillon.
He is survived by 3 sons: Jacob Dillon, Justin Dillon, and Cade Dillon; sister, Gayla Follett; brother, Randy Dillon; niece, Megan Larabee; nephew, Josh Dillon; and numerous grandchildren.

29 Aug 2020We had our good and bad times. But we made 3 beautiful children and we had a blast together. So many memories! I hope you have found Shara and your Dad Rhonda and all of our rowdy friends. The ride out to Colorado was the coolest thing. Please watch over Justin and Jacob I’m worried about them. I loved you and things went wrong and I didn’t like you. I just wanted to let you know that I also miss you and love you. Go take Shara for a ride. Till we meet again RIP Matt give Shara a hug for me. – Sandy
