Pamela J. Jeffries

Pamela Jean Jeffries, lovingly known as Pam or PJ, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, at 2:20 AM, surrounded by love. She was 66 years old.

Born on January 21, 1959, Pam grew up at Tarsney Lakes and spent her adult life in Independence, Missouri — a place she called home and where she built a life of warmth, faith, and devotion to others. She was a vibrant woman with a deep love for the lake, new adventures, and making memories with her family in Prosper, Texas.

Pam lived with a strong and determined spirit, always seeking to enjoy the most out of life. She led by example — a powerful woman who could lead and succeed, yet remained deeply grounded in love, service, and faith. Her life was a testimony to what it means to live for others: she led countless people to the Lord and gave generously of her time and heart.

Full of adventure, Pam had a remarkable ability to make even the mundane feel fun and exciting. Her joyful, positive spirit and warm, accepting heart welcomed everyone — without judgment — into her circle. She showed up. Always. She was the one people relied on. The one who loved so much, so big, so hard. And above all else, her family was everything.

Pam was a devoted wife, a loving mother of four (with three surviving children), a grandmother to 11 — and through a beautifully blended family, 14 grandchildren in total — and a proud great-grandmother to five. She was a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a cousin, a youth leader, and a best friend to many. She also thrived as a working woman, first in management, then devoting several years to working with school-aged children as a school bus driver and assistant for special needs kids — roles that allowed her to share her kindness and care with children every day. Later, she taught herself to become a real estate investor, building her own rental business from the ground up.

She created traditions that will live on for generations — especially the 4th of July and Christmas, when her heart lit up with joy having her whole family together. She found happiness in road trips, lake days, camping, crafting with her grandkids, and tending to her plants and flowers. But her proudest accomplishments were always her children and her family.

More than anything, Pam was a woman of God. A devoted believer, she lived the Lord’s mission boldly — spreading the good news and drawing people to Jesus Christ through her life, her words, and her example.

She is survived by her husband William Jeffries; her children Jason Wall, Lyndzi Johnson, and Nicole Mershon; their spouses Tiffany Wall, Robert Johnson, and Kurt Mershon; her grandchildren Brady, Will, Brooks, Kennedy, Kenzi, Kaitlin, Kiley, and Kyndell; her step-grandchildren Savannah, Lachlan, and Austin; her siblings Kelly, Tammy, and Randy; her best friend of 50 years, Sandy Hopper; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed by her love.

Her life was celebrated on May 31st by her family and closest friends in a night filled with laughter, stories, tears, and the joy of honoring the remarkable woman she was.

Pam left the world as she lived in it — full of grace, strength, and love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched and the lives she changed.

  1. Wow, I can’t believe I just saw this.
Pam was my manager at Pizza Hut in Blue Springs, but turned into a mother figure for me. I don’t know that I’ve ever encountered a kinder soul. Her smile was infectious. Bill and Jason and other loved ones I’m so sorry for this loss. My heart has peace knowing that she is w Misty in Heaven. We kept in touch for many years but lost contact for the last 8 years or so. She made this place better, no doubt. I wish I could have hugged her one more time and told her how much she impacted my life. I use to call her mama bear.
Until I see you again Pam ( mama bear). Thank you for being you.
