Paul T. Trask


Local author and Bible teacher, Paul Taylor Trask, passed away on Thursday morning, September 1, 2022. For the past few months, Paul had been battling inoperable stage 4 Glioblastoma, the most aggressive and deadly form of brain cancer.

Paul authored Partway to Utah, The Long Way Home, Shall All Israel Be Saved, and John’s Key. He also taught many in-depth and scholarly Bible classes during his lifetime.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Leslie Denise Baker (Trask), son, Nathaniel Paul Trask, and three grandchildren, Taylor Nicole, Allie Rose, and Malachi Nathaniel, all of Blue Springs, Missouri. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at New Life Church, 801 SW First Street in Oak Grove, Missouri, Saturday, September 24th at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Steven P. Carpenter officiating. During the service, there will be opportunity for sharing reflections and/or memories.

Throughout their many years of ministry together, Paul and Leslie were always noted for creating great camaraderie centered around table fellowship. In keeping with their ministry tradition, there will a potluck immediately following the service for those who would like to participate.

  1. Worshiped with Paul and Leslie in Michigan. His book was one of the reasons Ann and I left the RLDS church . I was never able to thank him for that, Admired his love of the Word and his fearless defense of the Gospel!
