Paula was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 10, 1955.  After 8 years of private school, her parents moved her family to Kansas City, KS.  Paula was the oldest of 3 children. She attended Washington High School and soon after, married the love of her life.  Her entire life, Paula was an entrepreneur and always looking to expand on any opportunity she believed in. Wanting to learn new things, there were no limits to what she could do or would try.

Paula was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She loved people and people loved her.  She loved on, cared for, served and prayed for people, touching many lives throughout her life.  Paula saw the beauty in people and told them.  She tried to make each person in her life feel so special.  We are all so much better and richer for knowing and having loved and been loved by her.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 43 years, Donald Reed; one daughter, Angela Reed; and two granddaughters: Bailey Reed, and Jessica & her husband, Christian Plymell; her younger sister, Mary Snyder; brother, Tony Snyder & his wife Debbie; and many dear nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Paul Snyder.

The Reed Family acknowledges with deep gratitude the loving care and friendship of the staff at Phoenix Home Hospice Care in the last months of her life. With a special thanks to her full time in home provider.

  1. So sorry to hear of Paula’s passing. Our families spent many, many, hours together as our fathers were best friends, having grown up together in Kansas City. Paula was the cutest girl with long golden locks of hair and a sparkling personality. She was very protective of her sister, Mary and brother, Tony. We all had great times at “the Lake”. Also, the many “McKinley’s parties”. We “lost track” of each other after our parents died. Everyone going out separate ways. So sorry for your loss. May God comfort you until you meet again. ~ Donna & Larry Davenport
