Richard Eugene Titus passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Shangri-La Memory Care in Blue Springs, MO. Richard was 72 years old. Born June 10, 1946 to William and Arlene Titus who are in Heaven receiving Richard, along with Teresa, his wife of 38 years and mother of their sons David and Sean. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Joy Comer Titus. Sons David and Sean, two special daughter-in-law’s Bridget and Suzanne. Grandsons Chris and wife Tara, Craig and Tyler. Granddaughter Cheyenne and husband Jordan. Three beautiful great granddaughters Kylie, Kaylynn and Kennah. Two brothers Jerry and wife Anna, Mike and wife Cheryl. Five nephews Jeff, Brian, Paul, Cole and Scott. Four step children Jim, Shelly, Rick and Lisa. Six step grandchildren Alexis, Bryan, Miranda, Summer, Alexandria and Malachi. And one great grandson, Hudson.
Richard graduated from Van Horn High School in 1964 as Senior Class President His life has been filled with wonderful adventures. Hunting, fishing, boating, camping, wave runners, four wheeling in Colorado, snowmobiling in Montana, motorcycling in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He retired from Armco/GST and Moly-Cop. A great electrician, mentor and friend, husband, father and grandpa. He could build, fix, or invent anything. Truly an amazing man who will be missed by so many.
The family is requesting donations to Ascend Hospice 783 NE Anderson Lane, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064. He was cared for by RN Cassie, with Ascend Hospice for 2 years.
Visitation for Richard will be Tuesday March 26, 2019 1:00 p.m. at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home 1823 Blue Mills Rd., Independence, MO 64058. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
