  1. Hilda and Family,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. God has just had one of his favorite sons return home. He will be missed by all of us and we know we will see him again and that provides some comfort for those of us left. One story I want to share with you Hilda is that when Richard and I were in Boot Camp at Parris Island, South Carolina. We were picking up cigarette butts on the parade field and Richard said, “Lowell, I don’t think I can make it.” With a few words of encouragement and my assurance he could “make it”, Richard went on to serve honorably in the United States Marine Corps! WE CAN ALL BE PROUD OF HIM! – Lowell Harris

  2. My prayers are with all of you. May the Lord wrap you in His love, & may all your happy memories bring you comfort & even smiles. I loved Richard like another older brother when I was a kid; that never changed. Though this separation is tough, we know it is only temporary, & soon those wonderful stories will be heard again! I send my love to all of you!–Joy Harris McGee
