Ronald Keith Strange, 66 years old of Oak Grove, MO went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2026 after a long 18-year battle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis. Celebration of Life Service will be held August 22, 2026 at Lee’s Summit Bible Church, 1200 NE Colbern Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086, visitation at 10am, service at 11am.
Ron was born on September 20, 1959 in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong resident of Oak Grove, the youngest of three sisters and one brother. He enjoyed working with his dad building semi-trailers and mechanics. Later in life his other jobs included delivering propane, maintaining and constructing Billboards, and his last employment was construction and maintenance at Powell Gardens which he dearly enjoyed.
Ron and Linda met at church with a little match making from her mom. What a coincidence it would be when he would just happen to be at the campground in Osceola when she was stopping by to see her mom! Ron and Linda dated for 2 years then married May 26, 1989 and enjoyed serving the Lord and sharing life together.
Ron was a past member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Oak Grove, MO. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in November of 1970. He served in many areas including bus driver, usher, building and grounds, and deacon. May of 2016, Ron and Linda were thoroughly blessed with becoming members of Lee’s Summit Bible Church, being able to attend in person, then when it became too difficult because of his health, they faithfully watched on YouTube.
At a young age as Ron’s brother Art was into drag racing, Ron had a dream of building a modified tractor which came to reality in 1992 with the creation of “Big Red” which has been featured in numerous parades and shows. He also enjoyed volunteering Big Red as a “pull off tractor” for MO State Tractor Pullers Association. In 2009, Ron became a member of the International Harvesters Collectors Club – MO Chapter 1 and serving for a few years as one of the Directors. Being a member of the club fueled his passion for red tractors!
Preceded in death by his Father Paul A. Strange Sr. and Mother Thelma Strange. Survivors include his wife Linda Strange of the home, sister’s Gay Nell Callahan, Judy Ruth Kruger, Patricia Kay Garrett, and his brother Paul A. Strange Jr all from the KC Metro area, along with many nieces and nephews.
